Some Farm Improvements and a Few New Friends

Just a few new happenings around the barn.

The ducks have a newly landscaped "duck boat." Complete with stairs. Next up will be some butterfly bushes for them to relax under and make the duck area look all pretty.

One of the feral cats had four kittens. My friend Rena took two of the babies. I have two black cuties left. I am planning on taking them to Carol's Ferals to be spayed/neutered as I really need to get a grip on the number of cats around the barn.

Found a turtle creeping up the driveway. It is turtle mating season and they are on the move!
That is all the news from the farm this week.

Shearing Day 2015

Oh what a day! We had a great time and thank you to all who participated in making it a successful and drama free morning. The alpacas are all shorn for another year and I am grateful for their beautiful fiber that will now be made into yarn and for all the awesome people who came out to see the shearing. Thanks!!

Met new friends! Thanks to Natasha Ohlman.

Houssam Attal made a great collage of all our fun.

And the day wouldn't be complete without the alpacas!
